While walking on the street, a woman told me my kilt was very nice and asked why I wore it backward: it wasn't!

I hate to resurrect this topic, and beat the proverbial dead horse, but, perhaps they're trying to start a new fashion, much like the hip hop duo Chris Cross in the (was it the late 80's?) wearing their jeans backwards?

It looks to me that it's on purpose, since they're supposed to be a bunch of backwards hicks.

Branson, on the other hand, is just too funny. You'd think that he'd pay someone to make sure he wears his clothing correctly.

I have quite a few pairs of socks labeled left and right! (no smiley, no irony)

    Kris Kross, 1992.

Yep, i was in 6th grade and "JUMP!" was the biggest hit on the radio. Ah, memories.

    In retrospect, those guys sucked.

That puts us very close to the same age there GreenDragon. I wish I could forget that song... it was heard plenty of places, and after NOT hearing it for 14 years, I still remember what parts of it sound like... you're killin' me man!

The notion of folks wearing kilts backwards just doesn't get stale... I always find it hilarious, because there is more than enough reference sources out there for how to do it right, plenty of them are free, and take all of 5 minutes to find. Also, is it really so difficult to understand that pleats go to the rear, and the aprons form the front?

First kilt I ever bought, I sat and looked at the buckles for a couple minutes, figuring out the overlap pattern, and fumbled trying to get it on because I am clumsy. After that, it was smooth sailing.

I just don't understand why it's so hard for some people.

As the best man for my twin brothers wedding I had to inform him that the pleats went in back before we got to the church. I can just imagine all the protests if I hadn't. I'm sure it would have gone something like this:

"Lassie ya canne marry him, he canne even dress himself."

The strange thing is that I still remember the whole tune of "Jump!"... Haven't really heard it for a while, though. Probably not since 1991 or 1992 back when KXRX 96.5 was in existience.

Been lucky not to experience reverse kilts in person, but it is funny. Was very easy for me to figure it out.
