    Looks great.
I had a Gordon dress modern that I wore during highland games, but I gave it to my brother and got a Gordon modern to compete in. They are very sharp looking.

Or maybe it's the quality of the men wearing it? Right?
I'll keep telling myself that. :-)

Looks sharp, and the colours seem rather vivid. You said casual, so this is one of the PV creations? I have a USA casual in Caledonia, and it is the birhgtest tartan I own. Is there something in the PV cloth that just makes the colours stand out more?

I would have worn a black sweater with it... as that tends to be my favourite shirt colour... hard to go wrong with it... I do have a charcoal grey sweater I have worn with my kilts from time to time, and it doesn't look bad with the black hose... I just have my preference (the sweater actually has a couple of holes... so I have to wear a black t-shirt under it to hide that fact for the most part).

    Are those hose bottle green?

    Hey Andrew,

Nope, the colors aren't that bright in person. I was facing the sun and think it lit up the yellow as far as the digital camera goes. When you eyeball the yellow stripe in Gordon modern its actually half yellow and half black...alternating slanted stripes....I'm sure there's a name for it. And, the rest of the colors are muted too. So, think we're looking at a combo of the direct sun reflecting and digital camera/computer technology.

I think the hose are the bottle green, or elephant's breath green, or some green. Know they're not lovat green. The hose color is pretty true. The sweater is a green heather, actually darker than what it seems in the pic, more green.

Well, it could also be my monitor settings as well.
Sounds like your outfit is well rounded Ron.
The lovat green is the more "ancient" coloured, if I recall correctly?

AA - Thanks for the bit about PV being "fur-proof", being the owner of four dogs (and a part-time dog trainer, to boot), that's good to know, and a possible "excuse" to convince my wife I need a tartan to go with my solid kilts (she claims catholic schoolgirl trauma, is reluctant to see me get something a little more traditional than my UKs).
