Welcome to the site Josh. An interest in history and culture offers a lifetime of exploration and adventure for you to enjoy. What time periods are you interested in and are you learning Gaelic yet? When you mention Scots-Irish do you mean the Ulster Scots in America or Scottish and Irish cultures in general? Nice to have you here.

Hello Deasan, Nice to meet you!
Im intrested in Scottish, Irish and Welsh culture in general. By Scots-Irish this is what I mean. My family waay back in the early days lived in a castle in the Scottish Highlands. (its still there of course) I dont remember the name though Id have to ask my uncle. However the Cochranes (that was their last name) migrated south out of Scotland to the south of Ireland for a few hundred years before moving to the United states in the 1700s.
