I probably made a mistake telling her that if she wore tartan more often I'd have something worth looking at. ;)
    Are ya'll still married?

I feel for you guys. I do SCA events aswell and have more med garb in my closet than mundane. I think my son has been bit. He wants that Gordon Kilt so bad, its hard to hold out giving it to him till Christmas.

My wife and I were talking about the very rich just a couple of days ago. I had mentioned that once you have several houses, several cars, and several boats, what more do you need....
Then I said it what like having 20-30 kilts. When you get that many it might be enough....she just rolled her eyes and said that was what she was afraid of!
I didn't tell her about Hamish!

Got 4 and working on my fifth.
It don't mean a thing, if you aint got that swing!!

My love of kilts has grown to a point where whenever I see a sheep, I just see a kilt with legs....

Wouldn't that make you a very atypical Scotsman?

Yes Dread, I think that was a mistake, but it made my wife laugh when I read it to her

To answer your question... not, 20 to 30 ISN'T enough... I have 35 now and I still find myself looking thru swatch books lusting after more. I also find myself getting "bored" with some and wearing others almost 4 or 5 times as much...

You know you're REALLY getting bad when you have 1 tartan pleated to the stripe and you get another one pleated to the Sett.... just in case you want to "change it up" a bit ( never knew anyone who did THAT).

That's not bad! I'd say you've reached a healthy relationship with your kilting! We should all look up to you like some sort of "Kilting Guru" on top of your mountain. We'll start making "pilgrimages" to your mountain to ask the great "Kilt Guru" his advice, and what the meaning of life kilted is!
