All so I can eat, int: and be merry with a rabble o' kilties that I haven't even met?? Well I'm not....
BUT.....
I"m doing it anyway. I arrive in Glasgow around 10:30 on the 25th and will drag my weary body towards the train station.
Ladies and Gentlemen, the Laird and Lady of Ferintosh have graciously consented that I may have dinner on a stool in the kitchen and sleep in the garden shed. So for those of you attending - I will see you there!

Hope you get there safely... I recommend our local airline, Aer Arann, which started off in 1969 (the year of the first moon landing) doing pleasure flights over Galway: now they fly to a dozen UK cities and all the major cities in Ireland. I can get to Edinburgh in one hour - and the airport is 10 minutes drive from my flat!

I just hope you are NOT actually travelling on BA....
.....BUT travelling steerage on the Atlantic at this time of year can be pretty chilly - and rough! You will need a lot of TLC from the good folk at Ferintosh if you actually arrive. Thankfully Emma is a nurse and Robertson will dose you with several drams: a sure cure for the travel blues.

Well, I hope you early arrivees don't drink the house dry before Derek and I arrive in the evening of Friday 26th January!! We are staying on after the weekend for a day or two to explore the area (weather permitting) which neither of us has visited before.
Looking forward to meeting all you good friends - some for the first time and others for the second.

Ham,
Somehow I don't think that Patrick and I can drink Ferintosh dry in 24 hours. BUT you never know.... We'll be there a day early and under the staggering influence of Robertson we will certainly need to visit the local apothecary for a cure. In the mean time I'm sure that we'll be able to stop off and do some replentishing of the Ferintosh stock.
Something tells me though that nothing in Dumfries will be safe that weekend. Oh well. I'm sure Robertson and Emma's neighbors are used to it.
