Looks good to me, you should be one of the better dressed gents there in that outfit.

Actually, I don't own a plain white dress shirt. What I do have is a blue one that purple hints in it, a dark red one that does neat things depending how the light hits it, and a made to measure shirt that has a blue checked pattern to it. All are nice shirts, but won't work with the kilt.. trust me. Also, if I was wearing a white shirt I would have to wear white/cream hose(to avoid looking bottom heavy), which I'm trying to stay away from.

I think I'll stick with the black shirt.

    R L,

I like the outfit. I would suggest adding a green tie to link it all together (plus it woulkd look really smart).

    Cheers

I think you look great, the black shirt looks good with your kilt. There is some black in every tartan. You are right, the greens are hard to match.

I think you look fine, and considering the general level of dress of the other participants, you look like you will be appropriately dressed.

It does seem to me that the kilt, even if worn with the same style accessories, just seems a bit more dressy than trousers, but that's a good thing/

I was also thinking about a green tie. Maybe I'll take my flashes with me when have to go out and try to find one.

Actually the Grant tartan doesn't have any black in it, but I figure since all of my accessories are black, the shirt would be ok.

    Thanks for your compliments everyone.
