Need Some Trans-Atlantic Travel Advice

I fell across to Scotland with Air Transit (not suggested) in 1999. There was about enough leg room for a grasshopper. However, if you leave in the evening and get ther mid day it is tolerable. Either way, get up and walk around as much as possible. If you are looking to get to P1M's, why not fly into Glasgow than coach it. I have always seen it as the same price as Manchester or London.

I completely forgot about customs. The last time we flew trans-Canada we had to go through customs (flew in from the US) at Pearson (Toronto) and yes, that takes extra time involving claiming and rechecking luggage. Ugh. I'll look into re-booking (crap, is that gonna cost me MORE?!?) for a later flight out of Heathrow. Maybe I should have just flown into London and spent 6 hours on the train to get to Dumfries.
