Note the lead actor's name: Richard Todd... now, for those of us in the know... Todd is a sept of what? Sorry, had to toss that out there.

Not necessarily a kilted movie, but has the same lead actor:

These two were mentioned together in a amazon.com review.

Richard Todd is a fine actor who played in a number of films, including at least two Scotsmen, the Rev. Dr. Peter Marshall, the orginator of the Kirkin' service, in "A Man Called Peter" and Cpl. "Lachie" Lachlan MacLachlan in "The Hasty Heart" (co-starring some guy named Reagan!) about a piper in Burma during the Second World War. Todd also played Major John Howard of the Oxs and Bucks Regiment at Pegasus Bridge in "The Longest Day" (Hold until relieved, hold until relieved) -- ironically, Todd himself was an officer under Howard's command at Normandy. He also played Guy Gibson, the commander of the RAF Squadron in "The Dam Busters".

Todd was botn in Ireland, if I remember right. He's still alive (born 1919) and recently returned to Normandy for a BBC documentary.

    Cheers,

    Todd
