Through Customs Kilted?

No matter how many times I beg them, they still won't search me

The only time I've been searched while kilted was last spring as I was getting on the cruise ship. Even then, I think the guy who called for the search just wanted to see if the other guy would do it. He did give me a quick pat down, but it sure wasn't much of a search.

TH, flew in my tan UK in and out of Gatwick for our little trip in October and had no problems. I also wear that same kilt whenever I fly and never had any problems. I like the UK better for travel as it has pockets and I don't have to worry about the sporran.

I didn't have any problems at Irish or U.S. Customs when I flew in my kilt. I kept the kilt pin in my checked luggage, and just ran the belt and sporran through the x-ray. The buckles of the kilt set off the detector, and they wanded me, and there weren't any issues. I expected it to happen.
