The mention of the St. Lawrence Market reminds me that there are lots of great antique stores in Toronto and there was a big indoor antique mall in a building on the lakefront (both Chicago and Toronto are models of how to turn your lakefront into nice recreational areas instead of industrial areas). Was that the St. Lawrence Market? Haven't been in Toronto for several years but now I'd figure that there's good possibility of finding some kilt related stuff in one of these shops so that's yet ANOTHER reason to want to go back.

Cool, sounds like some definite interest and plenty of things to do in Toronto and the surrounding environs (like 2 kilt makers in less than 100 miles is more than I need!). Let me get through this weekend's trip to Monterey, and maybe through Xmas, and we will put some more concrete plans in place.
RJI, smelling Rkilts leather right now (dang that's sweet..), and afraid to see MacHummel's wares in person...

Ch'Town's still about a 4 hour drive from Halifax. But I have family and friends in NS (grew up there) so let me know when you arrive. Weehoo!

I am about just over an hour south of Toronto... go up there frequently. Please keep me in the loop about potential plans for a get together!

I cycle down the roads of Canboro. We could car pool from Prudhommes for a kilt night in Oakville with Rick. I ride with the Freewheelers who wear the yellow and black jerseys...and no, I don't wear my kilts while riding my bicycles. One of our tour directors lives on Haist, and many of our rides are out of Harold Black Park.

I had an attack of vertigo in the Skypod and nothing would induce me to stand on the plexiglass even unkilted!
