Steve, could you please post some thoughts on how to either measure yourself or measure an existing shirt to determine if you're standard sized or custom?

I wear standard-sized shirts from a british shirtmaker, but like other posters, I can't correlate these with the sizes (especially sleeve length) you've posted above.

The colored fabric arrived yesterday. I'll post some pics of the colors today after I get to the shop.

Here are the instruction I use on how to measure for a kilt shirt.
These are right out of the Vogue Sewing book.

Long shirts are probably fine for sitting around, but if you dance, as I do, would you want your shirt tails showing beneath your kilt as you whirl and birl?

In fact, I usually cut my shirts down so that they will not show, so I can't see myself ordering an extra long one.

I would just like to let the brethren know that I have ordered my custom shirt. I chose the cotton/hemp blend, black in colour. Bobbie informed me it will probably be started between Christmas and New Years. Rest assured I will be posting a review when it arrives along with pics if I ever figure out how to do that. I am confident that the shirt will be all it is advertised to be as I don't think Steve knows how to do anything but first rate. Stay tuned.
