    Tartan Holsters.

Any ideas on tartan holsters for my .45?

Maybe get a piece of the same fabric as your kilt and cover your standard holster in it?

I'd say get an Uncle Mike's soft nylon holster, and "re-upholster" it with your tartan... cut on the bias, of course.

If your .45 is the small frame variety, it should fit in the rear compartment of a Nightstalker sporran. My .40 cal Sig fits, snugly with no shifting. Set the zippers for speedy access. Of course, that would only apply if you have a CCDW license, wouldn't it?

It's a large frame S&W model 25 .45LC revolver. I enjoy target shooting and just wanted something to match the Fraser red that I will get some time in the near future. It is definitly not small.

I need to get a fair sized swatch of Fraser red though. I've contacted a couple of people, but no answer yet.

I stumbled onto The Safepacker the other day. It would be fairly easy to create a cover for it, in tartan. It would end up looking like a musset bag in plaid, I'd think.
