    Rob Roy

So I Married an Axe Murderer

The Wicker Man (original 1973 version) Cristopher Lee and several other actors are kilted on and off through out the film. Warning: This film is not for children..!

    Just saw Beowolf and Grendel

Funny thing about it was that Beowolf is played by Gerard Butler, who is from Glasgow, and it was Grendel who was wearing what can only be discribed as a kilt, though it is a wee bit short.

All in all it's a good little independent film, though I wish they had not used ponies, or at least they could have had people who could ride without yanking on the reins all the time.

I watched Mel Brook's Spaceballs - The Movie today as I hadn't seen it for a while.

There is a scene when "Snottie" beams President Skroob at the end of it you can see he is kilted but it's only on for a couple of seconds. I will have to see if I can get a video capture of it!

A great kilted scene in a really bad movie.....Sean Connery in The Avengers. It's almost worth sitting through the dreck of the movie just to see him in full dress!!

A good movie with a bunch of kilts in it is Charge of the Light Brigade, from 1968, starring Sir John Gielgud and Trevor Howard. It isn't until the middle of the movie, when the British forces are landing at Calmita Bay that you see soldiers of the 42nd and 93rd Highlanders (no sign of the 79th that I could see), cavorting about in kilts. There is also a decent rendering of the Battle of the Heights of Alma, with the 42nd leading the charge up the hill, although it does show Major General Sir John Colin Campbell wearing the bonnet badge of the 93rd. Oh well, one can't have everything, I suppose!

Just finished watching Breaker Morant as far as I can see there are two differant scottish regiments one with a black and red tartan as the fort guards and an other with a blue or green with a yellow stripe that served as the firrering squad at the end.
