    Sporran #7 Silver Harp

Started this Saturday morning and finished New Year's Day morning.

#6 the Silver Lion and #7 the Silver Irish Harp.

This sporran uses a turnlock closure instead of a magnetic catch. Technically, this is the best one so far. I've worked out most of the problems of how to put them together. If I do it again, however, I would move the Harp down about a quarter inch, and the turnlock up about the same. I think that would give it a better balance.

I like Silver on Black and all of my kilts have black straps, even the brown SWK Weathered Lamont. I may change out the straps on that to brown to go with my brown belt and sporrans.

May I wish all of you a very Happy and Prosperous and Safe New Year.

    One For Me?

Tom, those look GREAT! Well done! Now, the big question, are you going to make these available for purchase by members? I would be quite interested in a copy of the harp version.

Sporran #7 Silver Irish Harp Update

Here are a couple of photos on New Year's Day 20007.
I'm wearing a Heritage of Ireland Kilt. The kilt is not expensive, but it has a nice bright green color. Got it last year for St. Patrick's Day. It came the day after our Base St. Patrick's Day party. I'll be wearing it this year, though.

I'm working on getting a permit here in Germany that will allow me to sell things, but I won't be able to use the APO system. I'll have to send them through the German Mail system. Don't know how long that might take or if there will be import duties.

I'm thinking of charging about $100 USD or the equivalent in Euros. But that would include postage and insurance. Would they be worth that to anyone?
Not firm plans yet so I'm not ready to take orders, but I appreciate the interest in them.

Got a few more ideas I'm working on, so who knows what will be posted next.
    Thanks for everyone's support.

    Tom

Absolutely worth it! I'll try to talk the wife outta some money! As far as postage, try FedEx, supposedly they ship all over the world. You can usually ship things via FedEx, that you cant ship any other way. I had a friend who was an Archeologist that wound up with a heck of a collection that way. Happy New Year!

Looks great Tom. I like the "tri-lobed" flap. Very unique, and very elegant. That would look great with one of the pin-locks also.

What would be the cost of a plain with the turn lock?
