Happy New Year everyone...
Piped a formal Irish-American wedding, rushed home, stripped of the saffron kilt & caubeen, turned out again in black tie, this time in tartan with fly plaid, Argyll hose & dirk to pipe in a head table, eat too much, listen to bad disco, then pipe in the new year properly at 0000. Passed on the chintzy cheap champagne in favor of cask-strength Macallan.

Happy New Year to everyone!
Mine was a low-key affair. As I'd spent about 60 hours this past week at work, I decided to spend the new year turnover amongst my work friends so I found myself a comfortable seat at the restaurant and had a few good beers. It was slow enough that my friends who were working could stop by and chat.
My New Year beers:
Stone Oaked Arrogant Bastard (7.2%)
Founders Red Rye (6.4%)
Tommyknocker Cocoa Porter (?)
Stone Oaked Arrogant Bastard (again; this is my favourite beer)
Andrew.
