I think $100 is certainly a fair price for a hand made sporran. I'm with Cavscout, a pin-lock model would be SUPER!

Simply amazing. I really need to find myself some dye/stain so I can work with different colors... especially since I have such a hard time finding black at a price I can afford. I also need to learn such excellant embellishment skills.

Funny story... I saw your first Irish Harp sporran and wanted to find an Irish Harp pattern for myself. I ended up Photochopping a black/white Guinness logo.

This sporran uses a turnlock closure instead of a magnetic catch. Technically, this is the best one so far. I've worked out most of the problems of how to put them together. If I do it again, however, I would move the Harp down about a quarter inch, and the turnlock up about the same. I think that would give it a better balance.

Care to share the source of the turnlock closure? I've been wanting to buy some for a while. I have a few sporrans that need closures to be "finished."

Looks great Tom. I like the "tri-lobed" flap. Very unique, and very elegant. That would look great with one of the pin-locks also.

I agree... the tri-lobe flap is quite an attention getter... assuming you can pull your attention away from that beautiful Irish Harp!
Speaking of pin-lock closures... anyone know a source for those? I'm about this close | | to buying a set of hood pins from Summit Racing and converting those to sporran closures some how. That'd be a great way to merge my love for auto racing with my love for kilts/kilt accessories.
