Ambush Makeover
While visiting my folks for the holiday season, my momhad on the TV show "Ambush Makeover" where they approach people on the street and offer them a makeover. In one segment, they approached a man wearing a kilt and offered him a makeover. He declined, which is good because they probably would have tried to put him in trousers.
I wasn't watching closely enough to know what city it was in, but the man was wearing what looked like an Irish National tartan or something similar. He was bald and dressed very casually with sandals and a sleeveless t-shirt.
It didn't happen to be one of you guys, was it?

Morons! That's all there is to it. Only morons do those shows! Kilts are the most stylish and comfortable garments in the world!

Hey, maybe he should done it. Tell them only if they use kilts and not trews.

Well that's a darn good point! Wonder if there were any kiltmakers in his town?

Maybe they could make him look better... A nice tank or a leather kilt, a Prince Charlie or like coat, a snazzy shirt, a dressier sporran.
Or maybe not.

Or, what would make them think a man in a kilt would WANT a makeover??? If he's in a friggin' kilt, he obviously has no interest in looking like what they consider "good." Good on that guy!

I've always said that if any of those kinds of shows ever approached me, they'd be glad I can't run, because it would give them a chance to get away. If I was kilted at the time, I'd sure give running a shot (might catch 'em if they're slow enough). I fell asleep and woke up to the "before and after" segment of one of those shows once, and it convinced me that the whole lot of them need to be shot out of a very large cannon. There's a giant zarking difference between fashion and style. I'm almost never in fashion, but I always have style.

The first thing I thought was no way would I go through with it, but on second thought if they were to furnish me with a new kilt, dress sporran, etc...
That would be fine with me.
