I was in a bar/restaurant in Savanna Illinois over xmas break, wearing my Isle of Skye. As I was walking past a group I overheard a woman say "he must have been playing at a funeral or something." I "piped up" that no, I just like wearing kilts.
"You're kidding!", she says.
"No" I replied, "I haven't worn pants since December 20. I've worn this to work several times."
"Wow."

I then got into a conversation with a fellow next to me who said he's a Macdonald. Turns out it's Macdonald of the Isles, so we probably share some common ancestors. I find this to be a typical occurrence when I am out and about in a kilt.
