Fully traditional: 8+ yards of tartan and up where they're been for centuries.

Something modern in style and/or fabric but high like they're supposed to be.

Tartan front and back but the hips are doin' the carryin'.

Leading edge modern and that means non-tartan and low-rise.

I wear all mine ( O'Neille,UK, stillwater, a few e-bay specials) right at the navel...not to high, but not so low that they wear like trousers...

One of these days an eight or nine yarder, in one of the Fraser gathering tartans or the Modern, or the red,or hunting. Oh HECK! Fraser something!
