withoot tellin' oiny o' ya whit tae wear...
(cause ai dinnae bloody care whit ya wear!)
here is a wee bit o' dress advice.... (they o' ya bringin' partners- please inform them as weel...)
Pub Nicht:
1- it will be chilly (6-8ºC 40-42ºF) and wet ootside atween pubs....
luckily pubs are closely spaced an we willnae be oot in the weather maire than 3-5 minutes a' a time.... mony folk pub crawl here withoot oiny jacket an' a'... tae each they own...
2- in the pubs will bae hot and sweaty... dinnae wear/carry sae mony items (hats, gloves, scarves, glasses, camera, whisky books, tissues, mobiles...) that ya lose them aliang the crawl...
3- we are likely tae ainly have yin drink per pub... otherwise we will n'er mak it hame... be ready to travel licht and move quick...
4- streets are cobbled and slippy- wear guid walkin shoes....
5- there is no smokin' inside pubs in Scotland- if ya smoke ya will be oot in the drook a bit maire than the rest o' us....
Burns Supper:
1- the ainly dress code is kilts arr required fur men... bae as formal tae informal as ya want... ai enjoy dressin' oop sae ai will be formal arr clase tae it...
2- lassies can wear dresses if they choose- Emma will be wearin' troosers...
3- as the evenin' wears oan an oor bellies get fou we will want tae tak aff jackets an relax... nay problem there...
4- sorry- yin maire rule... if ya wear a baseball cap in ma hoose- ya stand a guid chance o' losin it in the fire!

I was just reading at http://www.ferintosh.net/tourism.htm that there are 54 pubs in Dumfries. This could be a REALLY long night.
