Congratulations, that was a really a great article. Well done! Did I read it correctly though? You only took up the chanter last SPRING? That IS impressive! When I read your posts about what you've been doing I assumed that you had been playing for much longer.

When I started pipes, I looked at them as just another instrument (right now, I play trombone, violin (poorly), guitar, bass, penny whistle, bodhran, dulcimer, harmonica, and mandolin). In other news: I just ordered a set of Uilleann pipes!!! And you all thought kilts were addicting....

I'm still waiting for my piping course materials which are in sotck but have been held up because they have been linked in with other items such as a kilt.

I have emailed the supplier and asked them to send the piping stuff now so I can get started!

I want to be in my local paper too!
