Oklahoma City "Iron Thistle" Games/festival
Greetings all...
We're hosting a Scottish festival and Highland Games here in Oklahoma City on March 24th. We'd love to have any and all attend.
We have pretty much everything set up but we'd like to get more clans to come and set up tents. If anyone is interested, please let me know.

Will there be any piping or drumming competitions? I only managed to get the Oklahoma City games a couple of times before they stopped having them.

Yeah...we have two piping and drumming bands coming along with 3-4 musical acts. We'll have a full line up of food, merchandise, throwing, kids area, combat reinactment, geneology stuff, and I'm currently working on getting more clans to come. We're looking to have about a total of 20 clans.

I'd love to come but already got plans that weekend for my dad's b-day.

Okay, March 24th from 9am to 6 pm
It'll be at Washington Park-411 N. High just east of Bricktown
Go to www.uscoscots.org and click on the athletics link on the left and that's where the info will be updated.
If anyone is interested in throwing, lemme know so I can shoot you an entry form or if anyone wants to set up a clan tent, lemme know that also.
Here's one of our posters

I'll actually be there with the owner of the House of Celts here in Tulsa. Just look for the Brotherhood of the Kilt stuff, I'll be there.
I'll see if I can't drum up some interest on myspace, and on Kiltsrock.com...
