I've gotta get my camera. Curzon is 20 pounds of 11yr old fuzzy love. We have seven cats. Tiny Tim 12 pound of miniature White Tiger, or so he thinks. Yep going to get a camera...

Baxter, while we were on a llama pack trip in the High Uinta Wilderness.
While I was attending to an obstreperous llama, Baxter wandered off and found a herd of sheep who were grazing in the woods by a meadow. Now Baxter is a cow dog but I don't think he knows the difference between cows and sheep - they both need herding.
He's off herding these sheep when I discover that he's no longer with me. So I picketed my llamas and went off to find him - that bell he wears is a very useful tool in such cases. When I found him he had found one sheep that just would not be herded no matter how much Baxter nipped her nor no matter how much he barked - she had gotten one foot stuck between a couple of rock and just stopped.
So I tethered Baxter and am just attending to the sheep when the sheep herder showed up. Uh-oh. Not the guy I wanted to see just then and if he had shot my dog, he'd have been in the right to do so. Fortunately, he was cool about it and I discovered later that he was South American and was very pleased to see the llamas. He and his buddies all wanted their pictures taken with the llamas.

Great story about Baxter, he looks like he can be a handful, but he also looks like he is the kind of dog thats worth the effort.
