Great story, Graham. Like Verlyn above this reminds me of a story too. I was on my first cruise (Royal Carribean: Serenade of the Seas-Maiden Voyage). I knew there were going to be two formal nights. I made a very conservative grey kilt for the first night. Had a great time. Since we were on board for one entire week together (Trans-Atlantic crossing), I decided for the second formal night to have some extra fun. I covered all the buttons on my Price Charlie in gold lame and made a gold lame kilt. It had a wonderful swing and was very flashy. While waiting to go into dinner, a Scotish couple were standing in line behind me. I heard the woman say to her husband "I didn't know there was that much gold in Scotland!" It was a good laugh and a fine time.
Thanks for bringing back memories and creating new ones, Graham.
