I know you're all single-malt guys...
...but, have you ever tasted Johnny Walker Blue Label? It's a whole different animal than the red or black, and smoother than the green or gold.
I had my first taste of the stuff last weekend and I love it. It's a blend, but it's all malt - no other grain alcohol mixed in. It's 24 years old. My, it's tasty.
It's pricey stuff and I won't be drinking it often. I was given a bottle as a thank-you gift. A generous gift it is!

Johnny Blue is good stuff. Neat or on the rocks wirh a light splash are my favorite ways of taking it.

it isn't bad, although I prefer the peaty flavor of an Islay single malt!

Many guys do. I don't like the smoky peat flavor, which is why I've always preferred Irish whiskey to Scotch.

I've never had the blue, only the Black and the Red. I'd like to try the others, but I've got to get a really good job first!

Never had "the Blue" I can't see spending $225.00 for whiskey when there are kilts to be had. One day though. It was a very generous gift. {Who did you have to kill?}

Didn't have to cause any deaths. Just treated some friends right.
I agree about the cost. I wouldn't spend that much money on a bottle of whisky. You can get it for significantly less than $225, though.

I'd rather spend that money on a single malt, but I would be interested in having a taste of the Blue Label someday. Care to send me a dram in the mail?
Andrew.

Do you mind if it passes through my kidneys, first?
Sorry. Old joke. Couldn't resist.
