    A Question for all Marines.

First, let me say I have Nothing but respect for the U.S.M.C. I regret that I was never able to serve. SWK promotes the Leatherneck Tartan for anyone who wishes to Honour the Marine Corps. So my question is this; Would any of you be offended if I ordered a kilt in the Leatherneck Tartan?

I would find it similar to wearing another clans kilts or Riverkilt and C152T wearing the RAF kilt.... If your wearing it to honor the men who have served and are currently serving, then go for it!
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

Wear it with respect for the Corps and the sacrifice made by Marines and it will be appreciated.

Beuth, I asked a very similar question regarding the wearing of the Black Watch tartan and received nothing but positive encouragement. I was told that as long as I am respecting and have knowledge of that tartan, I should wear it.
There is no doubt of you not respecting the USMC, true you were not able to join their ranks, but that was not from a lack of trying on your part. In wearing this tartan you intend to honour; those who are currently serving, to those past and to those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice. There is nothing left to suggest that you should not wear this.
Order this mon frere, perhaps the world needs to see a little bit more support for the Marines.

I am terribly offended. All of these jarheads and squids talking about their tartans. Everyone knows the Army tartan is the best. Now, if I saw someone wearing the Army tartan, I would wonder if he ever served, but I would not be offended it it was worn with respect.

Hey, we all are brothers and sisters at arms. I salute each and every person who has ever served.
