Welcome from another western Oregonian. I have a Freedom kilt and it's probably the finest example of kilt construction I've seen. You will not be disappointed. The design, execution and details are top notch. It is a well engineered garment.

    Newbies ROCK!

A hundred thousand welcomes from western Canada!

Now, I own a Freedom Kilt and it is FANTASTIC! It is made of the winter weight cotton and it is heavy and well made. I also own a Freedom Kilt custom shirt, Hagrid sized. Again, a great garment that can be seen in the Accessories site and I have a pair of the Heritage hose. All items are first rate and top quality. You will not be disappointed with anything Steve and Bobbie make. Just in case you may be in need of other acoutrements, Freedom Kilts also has a full line of belts, buckles and sporrans.

I want to thank everyone here that welcomed me to the forum and to those that sent their thoughts about Freedom Kilts.

Most forums seem to have lots of flamers trying to make themselves feel better. I have not seen that here. That is very nice.

If Steve (Freedom Kilts) reads this he will know who I am as I have been emailing him in the last week asking him questions.

I'll will be ordering a tiger stripe cargo model so I can wear it at Oklahoma D-Day paintball re-enactment this year. I asked Steve if he could make tiger stripe flashes for me to match the kilt. Of course he said no problem.

It was last year when my son dragged me to this week long D-Day event that I saw men (mostly retired and active US Marines) going into combat in the woods in kilts. There I was in pants . It was 104 degrees. I know better now. It will be very cool to be there this year in a tiger stripe kilt with matching flashes. It has to be tiger stripe because I'm old school. Or maybe just old.

It is because of the D-Day event last year that I own and wear kilts now.

I will be taking pictures at D-Day this year and posting them on a website for everyone to see. The event is in the first part of June, so by the middle of June or so I will be posting the URL to the pictures for those of you that are interested.

If you want to see what this D-Day event is, here is the URL.

    Thanks again everyone,
    John

    Welcome John,

This 62yo Marine relic wears kilts but no way with the paintball thank you...the younger folks can have at it.

I own three Freedom Kilts, a CADPAT, a Desert Camo (from the old days), and a new dress model. You just can't go wrong with Steve, who's a Marine too.

I've pics of my FKs in my galleries if it helps you any.
