What a way to go...
Color guard, honor guard with full rifle team, a modern pumper, and a 1937 Seagrave engine with the casket on the hose bed, followed by a piper (FF/NR-EMT-P, ret.) leading the mourners on foot, finally piping him out to the "Fireman's Memorial Hymn" at graveside.
Precisely the type of service I enjoy most, and feel most privileged to participate in.

It's services like that that make want to be a piper so badly.

I visited Dunedin, Florida with my folks/sibliings back in 1968 when my grandparents lived there. (they were from Edinburgh-> Detroit,Michigan-> retired to FL). Back then a Dunedin high-schooler could not play the bagpipes in the band unless they were at least 1/4 Scot. It was HOT in July then!
Glad to hear the Scot community still thrives! Nice you are a part of it!
