Here is one of my favorites of my guys. The Mainecoon is Ender (15 years) and the black one is Mycroft (4 years). I was being optimistic naming him after Sherlock Holmes' intelligent, quiet, and staid older brother I guess. He is silly, never shuts up, and likes nothing better than running back and forth all day long.

    My kilt cat.

And yes, that is her normal expression, the three of four hours a day she's awake.

This is Guinness, our resident wimp. He was a shelter dog for about two months after being bought in. Then the off site director found out they were changing his name and info so he wouldn't be put down. He was their pet at the shelter and had free run of the place. Lynn volunteers there and she brought him home about 3 years ago. Everyone loved him when he greeted them at the door and several people wanted to adopt him, but they were scared away by the fact that he is part Pit bull Terrier. The other half is Boxer. I did lots of research and found that most of what people say is false, they are very loyal family dogs and before the breed was given the bad name, they were often compared to labs for disposition and temperament. We also had an expert on the breed evaluate him. With what information I found and his advice that he'd never seen such a relaxed dog, we gave him a home. He was abused in his past years and is very timid and is deathly afraid of loud trucks and thunder. He's one of the best dogs I've ever owned.

Here he is during one of the two hours a day he is awake, basking in the flowers and sunshine.

That's funny, I call my two "the brown dog" and "the striped dog" a lot (they both answer to the correct description).

My partner and I have been involved in boxer rescue for 8 or so years, and we've seen our share of pit/boxer mixes and, without hesitation, I will agree that they are some of the sweetest, funniest and smartest dogs I've ever seen. They must get that from the boxer side (sorry, I'm a bit biased toward boxers! ) Guinness is a beautiful dog and good on you for rescuing!

We have some beautiful animals here. It seems like kilts and pets go well together!

We have two dogs, Deety is our 12YO Mini Foxy(White/Tan), Chilli is the 5YO Tenterfield terrier(Tri-colour). Small dogs are good for travel on bikes.

Chilli - me(Alan) - Deety - Marie (all on Maries bike)

Chilli has a pet cat that we look after, named Matilda (after Waltzing Matilda as she's a traveller also)

We get a lot of these as visitors also, Matilda gets locked in when they are around.

These are King Parrots, a male and a female

Rainbow Lorikeet, these are much less nervy, can be convinced to handfeed eventually. We also see lots of Crimson Rosellas and Sulphur-Crested Cockatoos(messy buggers they are).
