Thanks all for taking the time and trouble to share the pics and video with us! Looks like you had a really good time. Panache, the video of you addressing the haggis was wonderful!

P1M and the Dumfries company take note - the standard has been set for the reportage your fellow X-Markers now expect....

    Best regards

Album including the "Prom Pics" from the evening

    Toast to XMarksTheScot worldwide:

As many have observed, one of the many highlights of the evening was the delivery by Panache of the address to, and dispatch of, the homemade haggis.

The whole dinner, from pre-dinner mixer to the rendition of Auld Lang Syne, was an unqualified success. It began around 5:30 with many hands helping to set up, and ended very close to 11:00. In order to preserve as much of the good feelings as possible, photos and videos were taken throughout the evening. Here follows an album with all the pictures and video clips fit to distribute:

    Until next year...

Weel Done, Cutty Sark -- er, the NorCal Xmarks folks, and especially to Jamie's wonderful rendition of "The Address"!

    Grand...just grand!

Just wanted to point out for those hungering for more, that the text of the very well done toasts to Lads and Lassies, as well as a stirring poem about kilts can be found here:

As much as I appreciate all the praise directed at the "Address of the Haggis", I should point out that all the presenters (Alan, Jake, Richard, Ray, and my beautiful wife) did wonderful jobs. Also this event wouldn't have happened without the amazing Madalyne, Walkerk's lady.

This dinner was my first Burn's Night Supper and I know it was a first for most of the rabble present. Everyone attending, presenting, and behind the scenes brought something special to this evening. That is why it was such a success. This is a really great group of people and I doff my plumed hat to you all.

    Cheers

You know, that closeup of Panache's dirk and the haggis is....

....interesting. You know, having seen the blade close-up.
