So we'll prpobably sneak out alone to get that kidless-and-just-the-two-of-us feeling
Entirely the right thing to do, Patrick. Ann and I don't get out much together because of her limited mobility, so I'd expect she'll be key to whatever I do around Dumfries on Saturday before the Burns supper actually starts. She may want me to take her around the town centre shops, as there is much better shopping in Dumfries than we have here in rural Hawick.

See you in Dumfries!
I've made a list of what to bring, and will start packing as soon as I finish my brown ale.
I'll be leaving for Oslo tomorrow evening after work, and spend Wednesday at a conference, before heading for Newcastle early Thursday afternoon. I'll rendezvous with Anne-Lise in Amsterdam on the way (!)
Fellow Ferintosh pilgrims: see you there!!!!!
A safe journey to all

Jonesing for a Burns Supper makes a change from Jonesing for a kilt.
Not long to wait now, with Porrick setting off tomorrow night.
Have a safe journey, Porrick and everyone else coming a long way for this event.

I'm leaving Wednesday night myself. Can't actually believe it's that time.
The "international" cellphone is here - all I have to do is charge it. The bank and credit card companies have been notified of international travel so they don't turn me off at Anderson's. Packing is underweigh.
Good Lord, I think I'm gonna be there.

We too wish everyone a safe journey to Ferintosh. Even though its really 'just up the road for us' ( about 5hrs on the trains), we are already packed and ready to 'rock n roll'. This morning I am off to get some welsh beer to bring, Will post my find/s later.
