All I can think of is that it must have really messed up traffic. I'm sure that most of the people there have no idea how to drive in snow and the local governments have very little in the way of equipment to deal with it.

Now we in Vancouver get snow a couple times a year and the drivers here are clueless on how to drive in it, so I can only make assumptions about the drivers in Arizona in the snow

Sure looks beautiful though. Thanks for sharing those pics.

Nice pics RR. I have a nephew going to school down in Tempe and I bet he was happy to see the snow.

Absolutely gorgeous photos Craig. Well done. I loved the cactus shots particularly.

I know they won't survive over here, but I have a pot full of Saguaro seedlings growing on my kitchen window-sill. I picked up a packet of seeds whilst I was over the pond in Palm Springs in October, and I'd say every one of them has sprouted!

    Hey Retro,

I lived in Phoenix from '73 to '01 and can remember maybe three dustings of snow. The pics show a LOT more than I remember getting in the "old days."

The "snow on the Superstitions" and "snow on the cactus" pics are calendar classics.

    And Ham,

The whole secret to growing cactus is to check the weather in Phoenix. If it rains, then water the cactus a little.
