When my mother was dying I was practically living at the hospital with her for the last week. Was kilted the entire time...in fact wore the same kilt, UK Chocolate Workman's, the entire time.
Don't recall any comments from staff, but then I was on the hospital board for years and they see me come in regular to donate blood kilted. And, don't think there's a more tolerant group of folks while on the job than medical types.
