I think I will do well on the textiles, fibres, and fabrics sections. I study those anyways because of, well, hobby interest as well as my crocheting and what not.

I am however a bit skeered at the coats, jackets, outdoorwear, etc sections. Looking at my own jackets, and how complicated they are, it is intimidating to think that I will have to construct one on my own from scratch. Looks like so much work.

I am also worried about other details. Design and engineering. Engineering? I am math stupid, I may be in over my head. I have my computer to help me I think.

There is an entire course section dedicated to embroidery. THAT looks like fun. I dabble with that my self on my own. And another section devoted to quilting, as it applies to quited clothing and patchwork creations.

As for applying maternity wear stuff to fitting kilts to gentleman of substance, that is a good idea. Asking a guy how far along he is is bound to cause some tempers to flair though.

My mother is making me a kilt jacket and from seeing the stages it is quite a bit of work. there has been a lot of hand sewing involved, but she has told me all along it is a great thing to learn, as she has always wanted to make herself a suit and never wanted to tackle the coat part.

Thanks. Suit jackets are covered too, under the formalwear learning packet. And yeah, those are scary too. Something tells me most people are unaware of how complicated their clothing is.

I know I was blissfully unaware at one time. Kilts changed that!
