    Law Enforcement kilts

There has been so much talk about SWK's Leatherneck tartan that I thought I may make a suggestion to the kiltmakers and distributors online here.

I think it would be profitable if there should be some type of Law Enforcement kilt produced and sold. I am aware there are Law Enforcement tartans, but I haven't seen anything that was specifically advertised as such and sold at a price that an actual Law Enforcement officer could afford.

I know there are at least 4 Law Enforcement officers on this forum, not including myself, and numerous that are former or quasi-Law Enforcement (Riverkilt certainly applies).

And same as the Leatherneck tartan, mere support of Law Enforcement could be a sales push. I will be getting a Leatherneck wool when they are available, although I was not in the military.

    Just throwing it out there.

P.S. I know a local defense attorney who may actually buy one for me, since I seem to bring him so much business.

Excellent suggestion! We certainly support the Boys in Blue as much as the Military.

Good luck with the suggestion. I'll send your DA a few bucks if he'll get you kilted on the job.

Good idea to have a special tartan. Conceivably you could also wear Black Watch, which many regard as a government tartan.

Actually, it is a government tartan -- Government Sett is its official name, and the Black Watch were originally a paramilitary police force to "watch" the Highlands.

There are several other law enforcement agencies, such as the FBI, the RCMP, etc. that have tartans, so why not?
