I need a simple sporran design

    Guys,

Im looking for a simple sporran design that I can make. Looking to make it out of household materials. I just modified my kilt today, to fit me better (I hope im not loosing weight) and dispite my other post I HAVE NOT STOPPED WEARING IT!! Go all of you kilt wearers! Your the best!

Maybe out of some simple materials that I can find in my house, maybe attach to this thin belt that I have that matches my kilt. Any ideas?

    Simple sporran

    Hi Texan,
I made a simple sporran in a couple of hours from naugahide (sp) from Joan's Fabrics. Cost: 2.95$ and .50$ for a piece of velcro.

    The one from NWTA:
    http://www.nwta.com/
    deep in the resource area:
    NWTA Clothier/Patternmaster
    Non-commercial Patterns and Instructions
    291 Sporran, circa 1750-80
Free for download, $1 if copied and shipped

(The image is a negative of the one original downloaded)
Get the original from the NWTA

By leaving off the tassles, it can be easily simplified. Also, marine-grade vinal (or a cast off purse at thrift store) can also be used instead of leather.

Did you get what you're looking for? If that doesn't fit your needs I have a black leather sporran that I'm not using anymore not since I got my SWK Nightstalker. It is very celtic looking with a knot engraving. If interested PM me and we can make arrangements.

Hey S21 there's been a few posted that I've seen since I've started here but I couldn't find a whole lot then when I did a search. Here's a link to a simple day sporran that I made a while ago. The shape was my design but i got the basics of it by looking at existing sporrans.
Ask if you have any Q's of course.
