Hey Kid,
A common clash between the olden days and 2007's need to have "stuff."
I really like my SWK ballistic sporran too. For one reason - ZIPPERS and the seperate pouches. But, like you, mine is showing obvious wear already.
Guess its time to take a look at Robert's sporran efforts again.
I have two of these #6 pouches from Native Earth. They have a divider inside with a pocket on the divider. That helps, but its still a flap top pouch. I like it for Faires and Games because I can cram in the camera, waterbottle, small purchases, et.al. Its designed as a purse but the wide belt thing on the back makes an easy conversion to a sporran.
If it doesn't show for you go to http://www.nativearth.net/bagpage.html and scroll down to strap bags and look at #6 which is 9x9
SOOOOO WONDERFUL to have someone put the SIZE of their bags/sporrans on their website. I've often wondered if there's some sort of prohibition against telling a sporran's size....I mean hey vendors, ITS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING WE WANNA KNOW....what's to hide...??
Okay, down off soapbox.
Me, whenever I can, I prefer wearing a vest or jacket to carry my "stuff" rather than using a sporran. Just wish all those photographer's vests, traveler's vests, construction vests, came in a wider range of colors than khakis and greens.
