Kilted for wedding anniversary
My wife Miriam and I will be celebrating our 32 wedding anniversary on Feb 1.
I have ordered for her (as a surprise) a Black Stewart kilted skirt from Sport Kilt. I have ordered a Stillwater Black Stewart kilt for myself. Decided on the Black Stewart because Miriam has always looked very nice in combinations of red and black.
I'm also getting her a new white blouse, and a black v-neck sweater for myself. I plan to wear the sweater with a white shirt and red tie, and will wear cream hose with red flashes. My son got Miriam a very nice celtic cross necklace during his recent trip to Ireland. I think it would be a very good addition to her attire. I've made dinner reservations at the Hotel Deville restaurant near the state capital.
So I hope she is surprised, and likes the kilted skirt. She has been a wonderful wife and mother, and my very best friend over the last 32 years. I wear a kilt as my daily attire, and have not worn trousers since August of 2005. Miriam supports my kilt wearing and goes with me anywhere while kilted.

Congrats on the anniversary! 32 years is something to be proud of!
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

Hey Darrell,
Congrats on the anniversary and way of celebrating.
I quit wearing pants back in August 2005 too!
For what its worth, my lady sometimes likes to wear MY SportKilts as a long tartan dress. She's not as big as me, but the length is right and with the velcro she can shorten the waist to work for her.
