This sort of thing hurts a lot. I am sorry.

You have my condolences. My wife and I have three cats so I understand exactly how you feel right now.

My condolences as well. Take comfort in the fact that he had two good years with you that he might not have had otherwise.
Dogs are not the only ones who wait at the Rainbow Bridge; and if there's anything a cat is good at, it's waiting. You'll see Roadblock again in time.

Condolences. To lose a pet feels as bad as losing one of the family.

I think Wompet is right - I see no reason to not expect to see my 19 year old cat waiting at the Rainbow Bridge, along with the other furkids. Alaskan Amber, for Roadblock, Tamerlane (my old fart), and all the others. Prosit!

Thank you all for your caring words and feelings. He's gone but not forgotten. It was time for him to be free of the problems he had to face for the last few months of his life. My good friend Johnny let us bury him in an honored spot- the place on his land where he kept his altar for over a year. So not only does Roadblock get to head off to the land of the young, what he left behind gets to rest in sacred ground. Aside from the impossible wish of having him back and healthy, I could not ask for more for him.

    Blessed Be!
