I'm working that night as well, so I won't be able to attend.
I have been thinking about the need for another kilt night, and have a few (as of yet un-kilted) friends (some of whom should wear a mini-kilt) interested in attending as well. Hopefully we can all get something going soon.
As a though; Boston, Cambridge, and Brookline Adult Ed. Centers all offer one day Scotch Whiskey tasting classes for a small ( moderate) fee. It might be fun to see if we can fill one of these classes up with X- Markers.

Just remember guys, if you see something with batteries and lights on the pub wall, it's probably a beer sign, not a bomb.
(sorry, have to give the Bostonians some grief over this)

UNLESS it's at the People's Republik in Cambridge, and then it really is a bomb!

Is it just me.... anyway, this date, Feb. 16th, is used by Guinness as an annual advertising campaign as they attempt to set a world's record for largest toast. This event takes place in a lot of places....
So, I think Richland was trying to get kilties to come out to this particular event.... it isn't a kilt night, per se, but a night to come out for a pint and be sure to wear a kilt.....

Indeed, I try to attend every year where-ever i am. I went to one in San Diego a few years back. I missed the 2005 because i was in the SandBox.
We must schedule a Kilt night for any Eve you men can make it. So any date after the 9th of Feb works for me. mid week is fine too, I will be out of town till then.
Ahhh.. the Peoples Republik of Cambridge. I miss the cold War!!!
I was in Atlanta the other day when that story broke it was big news even there. Really, Are Bostonians that Paranoid. Hey Flair, did you guys get called out for that Mess?
Scotch Tasting is a great idea...count me in
