Actually, I don't think I've been in there, although I have been by many times. I have been to the brewpub nearby, Brewers Alley. It does have good food, but it's been a while since I've been there as well. I guess i don't aim for downtown Frederick very often.

Great idea, and how about a kilt night in DC for Tartan Day, April 6

While I probably can't make the Northern Virginia one (kids, SWMBO*, etc), I've been thinking since I joined X-Marks that the area kilted should convene in DC somewhere for a kilt night.

And, conveniently enough, Tartan Day falls on a Friday this year (April 6), so how about we gather momentum from the NoVA gathering and use it as a springboard to the April 6 kilt night in DC?

No, I have no idea of the location yet. I'm assuming that good beer and access to single malts is/are a must. I don't know of any Scottish pubs, so I'm open to suggestions.

Let me know how the NoVA event goes, and watch for the 'official' call for the DC kilt night coming up round about mid-March in this forum.

*never heard this one? it's an affectionate term for the wife, and stands for She Who Must Be Obeyed. Origins: H. Rider Haggard's story, She, used by John Mortimer's character Rumpole (of the Bailey), though in it's extended form, and came to me through the Homebrew Digest in it's acronym form.
