It's nice and bright for starters. It's relatively light so that it is pretty comfy regardless of weather, yet is warm enough for the cooler season. Pleats out really well by hand, and it holds it well to boot. I haven't had to wash mine yet, as I try to be cautious with it, but knowing that I can easily wash it is a plus. The price is hard to beat, even for a larger person... the 6 yarder is more than anyone should need.
As a plus... you can pleat it to the yellow stripe easily...and makes decently deep pleats.
Overall for the money, it's a nice deal. The CC also does all the fringing on it, which may or may not be to your tastes... as you could just cut a section of single wide to length and call it good (I suppose you could hem it... but it would fray on its own otherwise). Personally I like the fringe work.
I want to order a feilidh mohr in the homespun too... but that is on the backburner to other porspective acquisitions (have 2 belted plaides as it is).
