Thanks Alex. Most of those locations and views are very familiar to me and, since I have not been up to Edinburgh for a couple of years, they brought back happy memories. However, in all the many times I have been to the city I have not visited the Zoo - caged animals do very little for me, I'm afraid - but now I feel I should, for the views from Corstorphine Hill if nothing else! My regular B&B is in Murrayfield, only a short walk along Corstorphine Road from the Zoo.

What a beautiful series of pictures. I've never seen the Scott Monument before, it's quite beautiful. And I had no idea the castle was so... castle-ish! Thanks for sharing these pictures. You've really increased the urge to see these places in real life!
