welcome to the rabble, one word of warning about wearing the kilt it seems the wee folk like to hide near those that wear them but if you leave them a share of whatever you drink they don't unbuckle the kilt at the most inoppertune times like when a cat is jumping onto your lap or the mailman is delivering a post.
I've been aware of my Scottish heritage since I can remember, but never really understood what a kilt meant until recently. Having seen the light, I am now proudly kilted. Thanks for the answers to my questions so far.

I noticed in your other messages that you've got a casual PV kilt---could I be so bold as to inquire who made it, and what tartan? (Or solid! Nothing wrong with solid kilts either, he said, thinking of his charcoal tweed box pleat four yard from Matt Newsome.)
