If it should happen with one of the new ones, don't fear. The situation is EASILY remedied with a good metal adhesive such as "Amazing Goop" or "JB Weld."
Proud to say my pin is back in service, looking as sharp as the day it came.
If it happens with mine, I'll just zap it with the laser welder. Not a problem.

I'm sorta hoping mine do fall off so that I can go with magnets.

If anyone does have problems with the pins, please, please, please contact me and let me know. I will replace it and have the maker correct the mistake. One of the delays this time was in making sure the pins were top notch. I can't fix it if I don't know its fixed, and nobody will be upset if there is an issue that gets fixed. Its the unfixed issues that kills customer satisfaction..

Two part epoxy.
As a matter of fact it isn't a bad idea to put a small blob at the weld to strengthen the pin before there are any problems.

I also had problems with my xmarks pin. The very first day it came in i dropped it while getting it out of the package. Well, the pin broke off and needless to say i have never worn it. I was quite angry with myself. I will see if i can find the pin that went shooting across the floor and fix it. This was with the second batch that was made so it has been a while...

Steve,
Head down to your local craft or Fabric store, see if they sell pin backs with their jewelry making materials. Then just epoxy a new back on. Should set you back all of about $6 for the pin back and epoxy*.
Cheers
* make sure it is two part epoxy and NOT superglue. Superglue is good for show, two part epoxy is good to go.

I really wasn't trying to turn this into a "complaints" thread! I thought about sending it back, but quite frankly, I didn't want to go without. It was just easier to fix it myself.
Besides Rob, I truly appreciate all the time and effort you put into this project. It seemed silly to burden you with a return.
