First kilted outing to Home Depot
I am Back in the good 'ol US of A, I have a new box pleat in Carhardt type fabric. I decided to wear it in public (only kilt experance til now was at a rugby bar), to Home Depot no less. I figured if I can kilt there I can kilt anywhere. Well there was no comments, zero negitive, zero positive, and I was listening for whispers and heard zero. So it was un-eventful.

As it should be.
Now go forth and be an example to the rest of the world.

Welcome back Navyguy. Try again, you need more nails anyway, I don't think times have changed that much since you've been away. Nice kilt by the way.

The last time I was in a hardware type of a store I was in Canadian Tire, no reaction at all, it was quite refreshing, hopefully this sort of outing will become the norm, not the exception.

Sometimes, it seems almost disappointing to get absolutely no comments, especially when I have all of the replies set forth on this forum ready to use. Anyhow, welcome back to Virginia from a Navy Veteran, and Thank you for your service.

Perhaps it's because they're used to the store being full of studs already?

Welcome back to the US! My favorite store to wear a kilt to is Wal*Mart. 6'3" and a kilt gets you a lot of respect from the mindless cart pushers who love to block aisles.

Hi,
Welcome home and thank you for your service.
Bob
In theory there is no difference between theory and practice but in practice there is.
