Las Vegas Xmarks gathering in April
Note to mods...I posted this here rather than the "events" section to ensure more people see it. Hopefully it can stay here.
I booked my vacation time yesterday, and sadly my two weeks off start on April 23rd, the Monday after the tentative Xmarks gathering at the Las Vegas Celtic festival and Highland games on April 21st & 22nd. The week prior had already been booked up solid.
What I need to know, ASAP, is if the gathering is in fact happening. I am able to make work trades with my fellow bus drivers so I can get the days off I need to attend, but I will only do that if I'm sure about the gathering taking place.
If it is happening, please let me know so Karen and I can make the proper arrangements for rooms, etc. There hasn't been much talk about it lately.
TIA!

Marilyn & I have the time set aside to go to the games and to see the grand canyon. We will be there.

The Las Vegas Higland Games are being held on April 21 & 22. My understanding is that the Xmarks gathering will coincide with that.

I fear that an understanding is not something concrete so like Hamish I will have to bow out because of the advance planning required, besides which it's too close to my mother's birthday on the 26th.

The better half & I had planned to attend, but it now looks as if our finances just won't let it happen this year. We'll just have to be content with seeing if we run into any of you at the two festivals around here.

Hoping to figure out a way to pull it off. We're already booked for the Gathering of Nations in Albuquerque the weekend after. A lot of back to back travel. But gonna see if it can be pulled off since we're only 5 hours away and we love stopping at Crowshaw's Pies in St. George...

Well, as much as I had hoped to make this little soiree, my DJ services have been booked for that weekend.
It was a tough decision - make lots of money or spend lots of money...
For those of you that go - post pictures!
