    The Utilikilt is sometimes described as "the blue jeans of the kilt world". I wear my Utilikilt for exactly the situation you describe. It flairs out enough to be comfortable lounging around. It doesn't need a sporran but it has deep pockets for wallet, keys and other necessaries.

    Can'ti disagree with this one. I thought I was a tartan hardcase until my wife bught me a UK. I use it for nearly all travel, wear it for errands, housework, lounging, etc. I have a Mocker and it is extremely comfy and versatile.
