I noticed a few comments about the issue of water resistance.
Not to point out the blaringly obvious, but if the weather is bad enough to damage a non-water resistant sporran, it is likely to seriously damage the rest of one's clothes...LIKE THE KILT!!!!!!
Personally, I am not really into sporrans that actually look like dead animals, but that's just me. I prefer my one-and-only freelander sporran which holds up extremely well while skiing in colorado powder.
