    There is a guitar blue book, but it costs money just to look it up on line. Blue books are only a guide, the bottom line is that it's worth exactly what you can get someone to pay. Why would you want to play a lesser guitar though? I've always felt that anyones playing benefits from having the best guitar they can get. When I taught guitar that was always my advice.

    The only thing that I can suggest is that you look for comparables on Ebay...that's where all the action is these days except for the VERY high end stuff. I was explaining to someone recently that the old Takamines were very nice and not at all like the current ones...I expect that they can only improve with age.
